“What It’s Like to Be Me” Push Pin Exhibit
November 8, 2023 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
PUEBLO OF POJOAQUE, N.M. – The Poeh Cultural Center is proud to present “What It’s Like to Be Me,” a youth push-pin exhibit that showcases the creativity and perspective of young artists. The exhibit will open on November 8, 2023, from 4 pm – 6 pm at the Poeh Cultural Center located at 78 Cities of Gold Road, Santa Fe, NM.
The exhibit features push pin artwork limited to 24” by 24” created by talented young artists from the area. The theme of the exhibit, “What It’s Like to Be Me,” encourages artists under the age of 18 to express themselves through their art, showcasing their unique perspectives and experiences.
Visitors to the exhibit can expect to see a range of unique and creative pieces, each providing a glimpse into the creative minds of the young artists from the community. An activity table supplied with arts and crafts materials will allow visitors to create their artwork on-site.
“This will be a wonderful event for the youth of our community,” said Daniel McCoy, the Poeh’s Entrepreneurship Manager and organizer. “Creating art, whatever medium it may be, is an activity that can enhance one’s life for the better. I encourage everyone to bring their creations to the Poeh.”
Artwork can be delivered to the Poeh Cultural Center Monday-Friday, from 10 am – 5 pm, before the exhibit or during the opening reception. All visual/written art is welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, digital art, or poetry. 3D art must be ready to hang.
The exhibit will be on display from November 8, 2023, to January 12, 2024, at the Poeh Cultural Center. Admission is free, and all members of the community are welcome to attend. For more information about the exhibit, please contact Daniel McCoy at dmccoy@pojoaque.org, or 505-455-3533.
We hope to see you there!
