Path To Prosperity: Indigenous Entrepreneur Workshops

As part of its initiative to assist the development of Native American small business artists and entrepreneurs, the Poeh is hosting a series of trainings throughout the year to provide skills and tools to create and promote a community of Native entrepreneurs.

Spring is an ideal time to grow new opportunities, and the trainings are intended to encourage small business people to expand their entrepreneurial efforts as we move into the new year. The themes, methods and strategies presented in this initial series will be expanded upon in the series that follow.

Trainings will be in person at the Poeh Community Room
Trainings are FREE

To encourage our community to take advantage of these learning opportunities, Participants will receive a 15% discount on a booth fee at either the Pathways Indigenous Arts Festival or the Pathways Winter Market, (must attend ALL Spring Sessions to receive a discount).

Truth Dancer Coaching LLC – Scott Tafoya

Mindset as a Native American Entrepreneur

Your dream has power! It can inspire you. It can empower you. But will it become a reality! In this training Dr. Scott Tafoya will help you to actually make your dream come true, using licensed content from Dr. John C. Maxwell and his own story and experiences.  Most people fail to realize their potential and their dream because it remains hypothetical. This training titled, Put Your Dream to the Test takes your dream from ethereal to achievable. Scott will show you how to crystallize your vision and galvanize your commitment by instructing you how to answer ‘yes’ to questions like:

– Is my dream really my dream?

– Am I depending on factors in my control to achieve my dream?

– Do I have a strategy to achieve my dream?

– Have I included the people I need to realize my dream?

– Am I willing to pay the price for my dream?

– Does my dream benefit others?

Culture, Business, Art and Sovereignty

This workshop illustrates how to place Native culture and sovereignty at the forefront of our work, whether focusing on sales at powwows, markets, festivals, and feasts, or a brick-and-mortar store. In addition participants learn about promoting their businesses online to build their brands through aggressive social media advertising and word of mouth as they tailor social media posts to fit specific ranges, aiming different posts at different demographics across a variety of platforms.
